As the Executive Director of Advanced Educational Tutoring Center, I have over 26 years teaching, consulting, mentoring, administrative, and research experience in the field of education. I have taught from elementary grades to graduate-level college students. I have continued my life-long learning beyond my master's degree to include doctorate-level work and multiple certifications and training in numerous areas such as learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, Orton-Gillingham, multisensory math, SAT, and GED test preparation.

Our one-on-one tutoring is designed to take a personal interest in your needs. Sessions are available in person at our Center or through live interactive, video chat. Successful tutoring is based on goal setting, motivation, building confidence, and developing the necessary skills and abilities. All of our professional tutors are bachelors, masters and doctorate-level teachers, and certified in particular subject areas.

Whether it's working on math facts, writing essays, increasing your reading comprehension, preparing for the PSAT, SAT, ACT or studying for a GED, Advanced Educational Tutoring Center can meet your needs at the Center or through a live, interactive, video chat. SAT Prep classes will start at our Center in Asheville, North Carolina, in preparation for the June 2nd SAT test. Classes will meet for 4 Saturdays, 3-hour sessions, 9AM-12PM. Other times may be arranged with instructor to fit your schedule. Class sizes are from 1 to 4 students. Students will receive the most current materials including a test prep book (copyright June 2011), notebook, instructional worksheets, and practice tests. You must call now to reserve your space.

Consultation/Professional Development is available for teachers or school districts on topics such as curriculum design, curriculum alignment with Core Standards, instructional planning, assessment and evaluation, lesson planning format, and parent-school connections. Mentorship is available for student teachers and 1st - 5th year teachers based on individual needs such as classroom management, support, and collaboration skills.

Business opportunities are available for teachers, administrators, college graduates, or anyone wanting to share their expertise in any career.
